Deta Rogillio is an East Texas native currently serving as the President of the Walker County Genealogical Society and the District N Representative for the Texas State Genealogical Society.  She has been researching her family history for thirty-five years after a family member gave her two pages of scribbled notes of her mother’s research.  Deta holds a Master’s Degree from Sam Houston State University in Criminal Justice Management.  She retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 29 years and from the Drug Enforcement Administration after 10 years.  She is Vice-President of her local Property Owner’s Association and a Trustee for the Trinity County Historical Commission.  Deta also is the obituary contributor for the Trinity County GenWeb and the eBay book seller for Huntsville Public Library Friends.

She has been married to Mike for over 49 years and they have two children and two grandchildren.  Additionally, she and Mike enjoy travelling and playing golf.
